   Proposal Description:
   Drawing from the National Alzheimer's Coordinating Center Uniform Data Set, we intend to examine the trajectory of cognitive function over time among an older sample of Asians, African Americans, Latinos, and non-Latinos while adjusting for demographic and medical comorbidity. Using latent trajectory model analysis, we will measure cognitive decline across multiple assessments using the mean value of neuropsychological battery test scores. We intend to estimate and compare the trajectory of decline across groups while controlling for age, language of interview administration, chronic medical conditions, and initial cognitive diagnosis.  Based on our results, we will discuss implications for the development of interventions to mitigate cognitive decline in older diverse groups.
